The Booster Club will provide administrative support and funds to award two $500 scholarships each school year.  One scholarship each will be awarded to a graduation eligible member of the girl's team and one scholarship will be awarded to a graduation eligible member of the boy's team according to the following guidelines:

     a.    A committee consisting of at least four members will be designated to  handle the scholarship

            application process.  The Scholarship Committee members can be booster club members

            with no relationship to any scholarship eligible players, school officials, or members

            of other booster clubs.  No booster club member who is a parent of a senior player may

            serve on this committee.  One individual on the scholarship committee will be designated as

            a non voting member.  This individual will be responsible for gathering the applications,

            ensuring the applicant's privacy and the applications for final review by the voting members.

     b.    The Scholarship Committee's responsibilities include:

            1.    Developing the scholarship application.

            2.    Announcing and ensuring all scholarship eligible players are notified the scholarship

                    is available and that they understand the application process.

            3.    Distribute the scholarship applications to players, establish a deadline for submission,

                    collect applications and establish procedures to select the final scholarship recipients.

            4.    The Scholarship Committee should be appointed no later than the January booster club

                    meeting.  Scholarship applications should be available to eligible players no later than

                    March 1 of each year with the goal of completing the application process and announcing

                    the results at the end of year banquet.
